Sarah Francis is a photographer interested in the ideas of reality and representation - topics that photographers, theorists and critics alike have struggled with since the invention of the medium of photography.
Sarah captures a duality in her pictures of time and space, and of story and meaning. Each image has it's stage, and an inkling of narrative, that is never really completed.
The images are staged and displayed in their own world, which is recognisable to us, yet unfamiliar at the same time. However, things aren't always quite as they seem as our perception of what is real, and how the representation of objects doesn't always offer an infallible reality.
